The Ballston Spa Central School district honored Curtis Lumber Company and the Saratoga Center for Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for their partnership with the district’s new Work Based Learning Program (WBL).

The district’s WBL offers opportunities for students to gain supervised, hands-on experience in the world of work.

In conjunction with their high school coursework, this program promotes the development of employability skills so that students are better prepared to enter the workforce upon graduating from high school.

Both organizations have been instrumental in providing meaningful work sites for students during its first year in Ballston Spa.
