Tuesday is Ballston Spa School Pride Day, school budget vote

The Ballston Spa Central School District’s annual School Pride Day will be held on Tuesday, May 16, throughout the district. The event coincides with the 2017-18 school budget and school board candidates vote.

Students will wear purple and gold to celebrate Scottie Pride.

Student artwork and class projects will be on display at Ballston Spa High School (BSHS) and at the Malta Town Hall for public viewing. All events and performances are free and open to the public.

The events include:
3 to 8 p.m.: School Pride Day Book Bonanza – free books available for all students in the BSHS Cafeteria, while supplies last
4 to 6 p.m.: Ballston Spa Association of Teaching Assistants’ barbeque
4 to 7 p.m.: Ice Cream Social
4:30 to 5 p.m.: Elementary Band and Orchestra Ensembles perform
5 to 5:30 p.m.: MS Jazz Band perform
5 to 7 p.m: MS/HS Student Art Show  in the BSHS Art Wing
6:15 p.m.: SEFCU Penny Harvest Awards in BSHS Auditorium
6:45 to 7:30 p.m.: SEFCU Penny Harvest Reception in BSHS Cafeteria
7:30 p.m.: MS/HS Band, Orchestra, Choir and Jazz Band perform in the BSHS Auditorium
8:30 to 9:30 p.m.:  Stargazing at BSHS (held in front fields)
