Taylor Bonacci was awarded this year’s Saratoga Springs Police Lieutenants’ PBA scholarship, which goes to a graduating high school senior from the Saratoga Springs area who plans to major in Criminal Justice in college.
Bonacci is a 2017 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and is currently attending Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. She is pursuing a major in Criminal Justice with a Psychology minor.
The Lieutenants actively encourage young adults in Saratoga Springs to consider a career in the criminal justice field, particularly in law enforcement.
Scholarship candidates must submit an application to the Lieutenants, which requires the recipient to be active in community service, and includes an essay describing why they want to pursue a career in criminal justice. Bonacci has a history of serving her community, having volunteered for the Girl Scouts, Adirondack Save-a Stray, Adirondack Race Management and the Mohawk Valley Youth League.
