The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and the Ballston Spa Middle and High schools sponsored a SRO logo contest for its School Resource Officers.
Students in grades 6 to 12 entered their original designs for a patch to be used for the SRO’s uniforms. Designs incorporated images that are representative of the school and the Sheriff’s office. Prizes were awarded by guest judges for the top three designs at both the middle and the high Schools.
In the middle school, there was nearly 300 entries. The winning students were for third place ($25 Amazon gift card) Katrina M. Momrow, eighth grade; for second place ($50 Amazon gift card) Sara Kudlack, eighth grade; and for first place ($75 Amazon gift card/sticker of winning logo) Joseph Hoffman, six grade. The student selected with the most creative design was Sarah Skylstad whose in eighth grade.
More than 30 creative entries were submitted by the high school students. The winning students were for third place ($25 Amazon gift card) Klara Ann Moeckel, 12th grade, for second place ($50 Amazon gift card) Lindsay Thimineur, 12th grade, and for first place ($75 Amazon gift card/sticker of winning logo) Lindsay Thimineur, 12th grade. The student selected with the most creative design was Michael Batchelder, 12th grade.
