Women that financially support their families and need assistance for school can apply to the Soroptimist International of Saratoga County for grant funding.

The Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards program provides women who serve as their family’s primary wage earners with up to $5,000 to offset costs associated with higher education or additional skills and training. The award can be used for tuition, books, childcare, transportation or other education-related expense. Award recipients are eligible for additional awards at the regional and international Soroptimist levels.

To be eligible, you must have a financial need; be accepted or enrolled in an undergraduate or vocational skills training program;
be a resident of where there is a Soroptimist Chapter; have never received the award; and not be a Soroptimist member. Applicants may seek an application by emailing Rebecca Broadaway at SoroptimistWOA@gmail.com. Applications must be returned by Nov. 15.

Soroptimist International of Saratoga County has supported a variety of local service projects since its inception in 1979. Check out its website here.
